OGUNLEYE CHARGED TRAINEES ON CAMPAIGN AGAINST OPEN DEFECATION.

The Executive Chairman, Ikenne Local Government, Hon. Olusegun Ogunleye has raised his voice against the act of open defecation, as three days re-training for participants was done on improving their knowledge on the community led total sanitation approach towards ensuring a LGA wide open defecation free status for the local Government area.

 He appreciated the Federal Government especially the Vice President Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency Professor Yemi Osibajo , the Governor of Ogun State ,His Excellency,Prince Dapo Abiodun (MFR) , for their support towards the development of the local government and it's environs. 

Furthermore, he said the re-training on Campaign Against Open Defecation is very important and crucial for the development of a local Government because personal hygiene is very important in our society and keeping the environment clean helps in protecting residents from germs , mortality,morbidity and diseases.

Mrs Faith Gbagidi , the Resource person from Abuja said the Vice President of Nigeria Professor Yemi Osibajo is from Ikenne Local Government, therefore the Campaign Against Open Defecation must be taken seriously by the inhabitants in the local government area than other local government.
She implored the Exercutive Chairman and the Councillors to assist more on the sensitization of the publics on the Campaign program.

Mr Chibuke Nwanyanwu who is one of the team from Abuja appreciated the local government for their usual support and co-operation towards the program and he urged everyone present to join hands in encouraging personal hygiene in the community.

Present at the event were the Executive Chairman, Ikenne Local Government, Hon. Olusegun Ogunleye, Secretary to the Local Government, Mr Rotimi Osinowo, Leader of the House, Hon. Oladele Otesanya, Councilors, IkLG, the Resource person from Abuja Mrs Faith Gbagidi and her team, Head of Local Government Administration (HOLGA) Com. Olurotimi Ekemode, Director General Services and Administration, Mr Olasupo Ogunyanwo, Director Water and Environmental Sanitation (WES), Mr Jide Wojuade and many others.
