INAUGURAL SPEECH BY HON. SALAMI FATIU FOLAWEWO, THE NEWLY SWORN-IN MEMBER REPRESENTING IFO II STATE CONSTITUENCY IN THE OGUN STATE HOUSE OF ASSEMBLY

Much courtesies to the Rt. Honorable Speaker, esteemed members of the House, beloved family members, political leaders, dedicated campaign team, revered traditional rulers, community leaders, enthusiastic youth groups, and my entire respected constituents, I stand before you today with deep gratitude and a sense of duty as the newly sworn-in member of the Ogun State House of Assembly (OGHA) representing Ifo II State Constituency.

Foremost, I want to express my heartfelt appreciation to my immediate family members. Your unwavering support, encouragement, and sacrifices have been the foundation of my journey to this esteemed position. I am forever grateful for your belief in me and constant encouragement.

To the esteemed political leaders who have guided and mentored me, I extend my sincere gratitude. Your wisdom, experience, and guidance have been invaluable in shaping my path to this honorable position. I am committed to upholding the ideals and principles you have instilled in me and will work diligently to make you proud.

I would also like to acknowledge the dedication and hard work of my campaign team. Your unwavering commitment, sleepless nights, and boundless energy propelled us to this hard-earned victory. I am eternally grateful for your unwavering support and belief in our shared vision for a better future.

To my esteemed constituents, I am deeply humbled by your overwhelming support during and after the election. Your trust in me is a responsibility I hold dear. I assure you that your concerns, aspirations, and dreams will be at the forefront of my legislative agenda. Together, we will tirelessly advance Ifo II State Constituency and build a brighter future for all through inclusive legislation.

Ladies and gentlemen, as we embark on this new journey of legislating for the advancement and future-building of our Gateway State, your continued support is crucial. We must work hand in hand with all necessary stakeholders to bring about transformative change.

Rest assured, my voice will be a resounding force for positive change. I pledge to champion legislation that improves the well-being of our people, transforms the socio-economic status of our cosmopolitan constituency, and uplifts the entire state. In all my constitutional roles, I will uphold the 'Omoluabi' ethos, promoting equity, fairness, and genuine representation. I will actively collaborate with government agencies and private sector entities to create meaningful opportunities for my constituents, aligning with the cardinal programs of State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun CON. By all standards, I will prioritize regular constituency engagement, fostering an environment that encourages and supports developmental advancements.
