OOU SUG Alumni Set to Dole Out Awards, Scholarships in Historic Visit to Campus

Alumni of Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago-Iwoye, Ogun State ‘Likeminds’ who were active members of the Student Union Government SUG from 2009 to 2015 have concluded plans to visit the institution in style with lots of activities planned out in bid to contribute their quota to the institution via awarding and visiting the vice chancellor of the institution and also awarding other deserving lecturers who have over the years been committed to academic excellence in their teachings. They will also dole out scholarships to brilliant students who have financial constraints in a bid to support their education.  

It was disclosed via an exclusive interview by some members of the planning and strategic committee that the 2nd edition tagged; ‘REUNITING THE LIKEMINDS’ will consist of a two-day event. With series of activities will commence on the 13th  and 14th of October with visitation to the school's permanent site in Ago-Iwoye. The organizers further elucidate about the Day 2 event which is said to be held on the 14th of October for the Symposium and Luncheon ceremony held at Skyview Hotel, Ijebu Ode. This will however give the alumni, who have become renowned experts and professionals in their respective fields to unite, network and share fond redolent memories.


The event was strategically put together to enable a large number of old students to stay in contact and also come up with ideas that can affect the institution positively. With the first edition a few years ago, the second edition promises to be an interesting and fun-filled one.
