The Speaker, Ogun State House of Assembly, Rt Hon (Prince) Olakunle Taiwo Oluomo has expressed a deep sense of gratitude to everyone who shared in his joy during the celebration of his Diamond birth anniversary.

The Speaker, Ogun State House of Assembly, Rt Hon (Prince) Olakunle Taiwo Oluomo has expressed a deep sense of gratitude to everyone who shared in his joy during the celebration of his Diamond birth anniversary.

The Appreciation message was contained in a release by his Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, AbdulGhaffar Adeleye in Ifo, the Speaker's hometown on Friday. 

According to him, "Truly, attaining the Diamond age deserves undiluted appreciation to the almighty God in whom I have gotten the sustenance of my life and good Health. I will NEVER be ungrateful to my God"

"My 60th birth celebration was deliberately planned to be low-keyed as a reflection of the mood of the citizenry, but the outpouring of messages and prayers from far and near, young and old , religious, political, community leaders and associates, my esteemed constituents and well-wishers was overwhelming. To me, words alone are not enough to say your surprise birthday packages are appreciated" he noted.   

The Speaker who specially singled out the Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun for opening the floor a day ahead of the event, expressed his gratitude to the leader of the state for his benevolence. 

He pointed out further that members of the Ogun state House of Assembly who celebrated him in their "unique" way, thus displayed love for him and his leadership praying that God meets them at the points of their needs.

Rt Hon Oluomo explained that "even if I write an epistle of Appreciation, I might still miss out several names if I decide to continue mentioning names , but none who joined in sharing in my joy this year is unnoticed and my appreciation and prayers are sincerely for you".  

It would be recalled that the Speaker celebrated his 60th birthday with Commissioning of some water projects in his constituency and foundation laying of a church in memory of my late father. 

He maintained that those projects are expected to outlive him and bring succour to some of the yearnings of his constituents.
