The program which took place at the Lapia Event Center in Epe, Lagos was designed to equip Lagos State residents with business development and financial management skills. Participants were selected through a rigorous selection process and open raffle draw. They were trained in various areas such as financial management and business development.
The event featured several guest speakers who shared their knowledge and wisdom with the attendees. Dr. Ayodele Ibrahim Shittu, a senior lecturer from the University of Lagos, spoke on business management.
Alhaji Abdul Kabir Oriyomi Shamradeen, the Grand Chief Imam of Epe division, highlighted the importance of leaving a good legacy, citing the late Aremu as an example of an exceptional leader.
The Empowerment Program was a huge success, with hundreds of Lagos State residents benefiting from the initiative. The Director General of the foundation, Otunba Tiwalade Gabriel, expressed his delight at the success of the program. He also thanked everyone who contributed to the success of the Empowerment Program.
The event was graced by important dignitaries, including the Founder of the foundation, Dr. Olayinka Alausa, his wife, and all the Alausa families in Epe area of Lagos State. Also present were the Deputy Chairman of APC in Lagos State, Hon. Moshood, and Islamic leaders in Epe and across Lagos State. Tools such as hair dryers, light generating sets, wheelbarrows, sprayers for farmers, sewing machines, aluminum cutting machines, hair clippers, make-up kits, wheelchairs, and deep freezers were given to participants to aid them in their businesses.
In addition to the empowering activities, the Empowerment Program also included a delightful culinary experience for all the guests. A wide variety of food and drinks were generously shared, creating a warm and enjoyable atmosphere. The foundation aimed to not only provide valuable skills and tools to the participants but also to foster a sense of camaraderie and celebration by offering delicious meals and beverages. This gesture allowed everyone to indulge in a delightful dining experience while engaging with the CEO, Dr. Olayinka Alausa, and the entire Alausa family.
