Renowned for their relentless advocacy for human rights, Otunba and Yeyesewa Obey Akinlaja, Ore-Oba & Yeye Ore-Oba of Ojowo, as well as Otunba Feyintade & Yeye Otunba Feyintade of Ilaporu Kingdom, are widely regarded as one of the most influential figures in Ijebu Land. Each year, they go above and beyond to celebrate Christmas in a grand manner, leaving the entire community in awe.

This year, they surpassed all expectations by organizing an extravagant Christmas party at their country home in Awa Ijebu of Ijebu North L.G A, Ogun State, Nigeria.

The event was nothing short of spectacular, attracting over 800 guests from neighboring towns. Notable attendees included the Royal Father of the day, Oba Abdurasheed Abayomi Banjo, Orilonise 1, Olokine of Ojowo, Ijebu Igbo, and the Ojowo traditional council of chiefs. Other distinguished guests included Mrs. Motunrayo Yetunde Obafemi, nee Akinlaja, Hon. Segun Kaka, Member representing Ifelodun at the Ogun State House of Assembly, and Comrade Bamaka, SSA Media, along with his entourage.

The event also saw the presence of Elder Collins Ogundeji, Principal Babcock High School, Akure, Ondo State, Alh. Mufu Oseni (Cappy)& family, former Ijebu Ode local government chairman & fmr MD of Ogun State bulk purchasing , Bar Adebayo Adekoya, former chairman of Ijebu North local government, and Mr. Waheed, Training Manager at NESTLÉ..Mr Jaji and others.

The gathering was graced by esteemed individuals such as Chief Olamilekan Oladele, Chairman Golden Motors & The Bobagunwa of Oru Ijebu, Arobayo Agboola and Arobayo AMAK, Alh & Alhaja Sanusi & Family, Alagba Wale Akìlo & Family, and the DPOs of Oru & Awa Ijebu Division. Former Principal of Obanta Comprehensive, Mr. Segun Talabi, Akogun Deji Kalejaye, S.A to Gov Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State, Alhaji TomTom, Chairman PDP Ijebu North, Mogaji Dele Ajayi, APC youth leader Ijebu North Mrs Ramota Rabiu and friends were also in attendance.

Religious leaders, including Pastor Okeranti of CAC, Rev. Ajayi in charge of Methodist Church, Ven. Ogbara of St Andrew's Ang. Church, and the curate Rev. Oguntimehin, all in Awa Ijebu, added a spiritual touch to the event.

To ensure the safety and security of all attendees, notable security outfits such as the Officers of the NPF, members of the Road Safety Corps, and the valiant Oodua Peoples Congress (OPC) were present.

The festive atmosphere was enhanced by the sensational live band, Father Fuji, who took center stage and captivated the audience with mesmerizing performances. Otunba Obey and his family personally attended to every table, ensuring that each guest felt welcomed and well taken care of. Their warm smiles and gracious hospitality left a lasting impression on all who attended.

Otunba Obey has been hosting these remarkable Christmas parties for several years now, and each time, he manages to surpass the previous year's theme and overall experience. Attendees eagerly arrive early and reluctantly depart late, as the program goes above and beyond to provide sumptuous breakfast, lunch, and dinner, leaving everyone satiated and content. As an added bonus, guests are also treated to mouthwatering gifts, making the occasion even more memorable.

In conclusion, Otunba & Yeye Obey Akinlaja (JP) continue to astound the community with their extraordinary Christmas celebrations.
