INSTALLATION OF OBA SHOMADE; A NEW DAWN IN IDARIKA KINGDOM, IPERU REMO

Idarika Kingdom, Iperu Remo, witnessed jubilation today, Wednesday, 24th July 2024, as the Akufon of Idarika, Iperu Remo, His Royal Highness, Oba (SIR) Olugbenga J. Shomade, was formally installed and presented with the staff of office and instrument of appointment by Hon. Hamzat Ganiu, Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs.


Hon. Olusegun Ogunleye, the Executive Chairman Ikenne Local Government, expressed profound joy at the installation of Oba Shomade, highlighting it as a momentous occasion for the entire Idarika community.
He thanked His Excellency, Prince Dapo Abiodun (CON), for swiftly approving the appointment, foreseeing a landmark era of progress under Oba Shomade's reign.

The Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon. Hazmat Ganiu, representing Governor Dapo Abiodun, aplauded the community's support and congratulated Oba Shomade for emerging victoriously in the selection process. He urged the people of Idarika to unite with their new ruler for the advancement of the community.

HRH, Oba Adeleke Adelekan Idowu Basibo, Alaaperu of Iperu land congratulated the Akufon of Idarika kingdom on the ascension to the throne of his forefathers and as a member of the Remo Traditional Council and the Ogun State Council of Obas.

 Oba (SIR) Olugbenga J. Shomade, Akufon of Idarika kingdom, in his acceptance speech, expressed gratitude to God for his ascension to the throne of his forefathers, pledging his commitment to the development and unity of Idarika kingdom.

Chief Babajide Oyeti, Retired Permanent Secretary of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs and Chairman of Iperu Development Association, appreciated the dignitaries and called for unity among the people of Idarika community.

The event was graced by distinguished dignitaries, Hon. Razaq Daddah, Special Adviser to Ogun State Governor on Political matters, Dr Rotimiolu Akinlesi, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, HRH, Oba Lukeman Oluwadamilare Adebambo Salami ( sebu II) Ebi of Idena land and other Royal Fathers, Mr Olusegun Ibirinde, Director, Local Government Affairs, Mrs Folasade Shogbiyeju, Director inspectorate and monitoring, Mr Opeolu Aderinwale, Director , Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Secretary to the Local Government, Mr Rotimi Osinowo, Supervisors of Ikenne Local Government, Mr Olaleye Rufus Alani, Head of Local Government Administration ( HOLGA) and many others.
