CELEBRATING ELD_EL_KABIR WITH COMPASSION: HON. OGUNLEYE DISTRIBUTES PALLIATIVES.

As Eld_El_Kabir approaches, Hon. Olusegun Ogunleye, Executive Chairman Ikenne Local Government, distributed palliatives to citizens to reduce food crises during the festive period. The distribution took place at the Local Government Registry Complex on Thursday, June 13, 2024.Hon. Ogunleye expressed his gratitude to His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GFRC and Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun, CON for providing the palliatives, which were distributed to various categories of people and associations, including the physically challenged, religious organizations, women, youths, security personnel, Red Cross, and civil society organizations.A prayer session was observed and led by the Chairman Christian Association of Nigeria Ikenne Local Government Branch Ven. S.O Ifemosu and Chief Imam of Ilishan, Alhaji Sarafadeen Aderemi. Mr. Solaru Olufemi, Chairman Community Development Committee (CDC), thanked everyone present, he also appreciated the government for their kind gestures towards the people's welfare, especially during the festive period. He urged the Governor and the Chairman not to relent in such initiatives to reduce hunger in the community.In attendance were Hon. Bolanle Fakoya, Vice Chairman Ikenne Local Government , Mrs Demehin Ayobamidele, Head Information Education and Sports Department, Mr Sodipo Sakiru, Head Community Development and Social Welfare Department and many others.
