Otunba Bisi Oyedele-Citiside Hosts Successful Oba's Cup to Mark First Year in Office
In a vibrant celebration of community and sportsmanship, Otunba Bisi Oyedele-Citiside, the honourable member representing the Ipokia/Idiroko state constituency at the Ogun state House of Assembly, hosted the inaugural inter-ward football competition, the Oba's Cup. The event, held in honour of all traditional rulers in Ipokia Local Government, marked the first anniversary of Otunba Oyedele-Citiside's tenure in office.
The final match, played yesterday, saw the Ajegunle ward team clinching a decisive 2-0 victory over Agada ward. The atmosphere was electric as supporters from various wards gathered to cheer on their teams. The presence of numerous traditional rulers added a touch of grandeur to the occasion.

Notable party leaders and community stakeholders also graced the event, showcasing their support for the initiative.
In his address, Otunba Oyedele-Citiside expressed his gratitude for the overwhelming turnout and reiterated his commitment to the constituency. "All the work I have done within the last year is from my savings, as I am currently awaiting the Constituency allowance," he stated. He assured the gathering that the Oba's Cup would be an annual event for as long as he remains in office, fostering unity and healthy competition among the wards.
The event concluded with the presentation of medals to the winning team, Ajegunle, by the esteemed traditional rulers. Cash gifts of #200,000, #150,000, and #100,000 were awarded to the winner (Ajegunle ward), first runner-up (Agada ward), and second runner-up (Maun ward 1) respectively, adding further excitement and reward to the competition.
Otunba Oyedele-Citiside, flanked by his wife Yeye Adekemi Oyedele, members of the Citiside Support Group, and Members of the Citiside one-year office committee extended heartfelt appreciation to all attendees for their support and participation.
The successful hosting of the Oba's Cup underscores Otunba Oyedele-Citiside's dedication to community engagement and development, setting a promising tone for his subsequent years in office.
