Can we meet you?

I am Ayomide Wasiu Ogunmoye, born over four decades ago to the families of late Rtd. Colonel and Mrs. Ogunmoye, born and raised in Ilisan-Remo, Ikenne Local Government, I am a professional artisan and a businessman.

How did you join politics?

Politics is supposed to be a way of life to everyone which we should all partake in it. I joined politics in 1993 as a good supporter of Late Chief MKO Abiola (GCFR).

How long have you been into politics?

I stated my total engagement in grassroot politics right from 1993 as political machineries untill 1999 that we joined AD through the ideology of Afenifere Leadership under the Leadership of Aremo Olusegun Osoba, which was later moved from AD to AC in 2007 and to ACN and now All Progressives Congress (APC).

Why are you contesting for the position of a Chairman in Ikenne LG?

I am aspiring to become the Chairman of Ikenne Local Government so as to contribute my quota in nation building, I want to add my administrative and political experiences to the best of my leaders that have been in that position before. I want to impact in lives of children,Youths, the aged, women, the community in the best way as possible.
I want every Ikenne Local Government residents to be proud of themselves in their various life endeavors.

How will you achieve the above plans stated?

The above can be achieved by not running a one man show. The development of Ikenne Local Government is the responsibility of everyone. We will take advantage of critical stakeholders, political leaders, community leaders, religious leaders, Royal fathers to enable even and necessary distribution of good governance at the grassroot level.


How many of you are on the race and tell us why you are more qualified?

I can’t be sure of how many of us are aspiring but I believe I have what it takes to build a better Ikenne Local Government. 

Do you see any errors made by the past chairman that you are coming up to correct?

I won’t say there are errors because everyone can only perform based on their strengths but I believe Ikenne Local Government deserve more than what we have on ground. They all did their best to be candid.

Can you tell us your manifestos?

I will improve on Infrastructure, Education,
Agriculture, Health and Security system, I may not be able to release my full manifestos here but soon it shall be known to the public.

Finally what is your message to the leaders ahead of the primary election?

I want to appreciate my political leaders for paddling the canoe of Ikenne Local Government as it's not easy to manage people especially we the politicians. I will implore them to do more to install a credible candidate like me for a better Ikenne Local Government because am the most sellable amongst all.
