Ogun State Govt Constitutes 29-Member Committee On Palliatives Distribution

A 29-member Central Working Committee (CWC), headed by the Deputy Governor of Ogun State, Engr. (Mrs) Noimot Salako-Oyedele, saddled with the mandate for the distribution of palliatives in the state has been empanelled by Governor Dapo Abiodun. The composition of the Committee is aimed at ensuring that the palliatives reached every strata of the society, in line with the promise made to the people of the state by Governor Abiodun. A statement issued on Tuesday by the Chief Press Secretary (CPS) to the governor, Mr Lekan Adeniran, noted that there will be a similar Committee at the local governments to ensure the seamless distribution of the palliatives. According to the statement, the Committee has the mandate to implement the various palliatives put in place by the state government for the citizens. Ogun receives FG’s grains, considers aged women, others

The Secretary to the Government of Ogun State, Mr. Olatokunbo Talabi, has confirmed that the state has received the first delivery of 3,000 bags of rice donations from the Federal Government in fulfilment of its plan to distribute grains to mitigate the effect of the fuel subsidy removal. The SSG says the rebagging of the grains and repackaging of the commodities were already ongoing before they could be distributed to the masses in due course. Mr Talabi, while answering questions from journalists on developments regarding the distribution of palliatives to states as promised by the FG in his office, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, affirmed that the state government has received money from the FG for the procurement of grains, part of the money planned for the procurements to be distributed to residents by each state. GOV AKEREDOLU PRESENTS OFFICIAL VEHICLES TO ONDO LAWMAKERS

Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN, CON, has presented official vehicles to the 26 members of the State House of Assembly.  The vehicles were presented to the lawmakers at the government house in Alagbaka, Akure, on Monday.  Secretary to the State Government, Princess Oladunni Odu presented the vehicles on behalf of the Governor.  State Chairman of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Engr. Ogun keeps promise, begins payment of N10,000 palliative to civil servants

Ogun State Government has commenced the payment of N10, 000 palliative to civil servants in the State, reports by civil servants in the state have shown. The move is sequel to the announcement made by last week by the Governor of the State, Prince Dapo Abiodun, while rolling out palliative interventions following the removal of fuel subsidy by the Federal Government.   Disclosing this on Monday, civil servants who spoke on the development expressed delight that the promised palliative fund had started hitting their accounts, saying that this showed clearly that Governor Abiodun is very much concerned about the plight of the people, especially state workers, following the harsh economic climate occasioned by the withdrawal of subsidy on petrol. They expressed optimism that the state government would continue to prioritize their interests at this critical period.
